I found that most of our members are studying abroad. So, I'd like to propose to create a forum sharing not only about further studies but also experiences (thoughts and ideas ) of resident countries. So we can know dos and don'ts there and can get information&general knowledge.Thank you.

PostSubject: My feeling about Singapore   Sharing experiences of resident countries Icon_minitimeSun Nov 12, 2006 9:49 am

Hi Sis,
Now I am working at Singapore. My feeling on Singapore is not quite impressive. When I first arrive at Immigration check point at Changi airport, the officer ask me to show my money. That was really uncomfortable things for me. I was about to say that I can stay in Hotel with my money 2000USD within 14 days stay they gave me. But I have to keep my anger and have to show my money. Another uncomfortable things is that in everywhere like public toilet, food court old people at our parents age are working. That make me really sad. Is there any elderly care program here?
Another things is that the singaporean don't know how to call our nationality. Some say Myanmese, even in the News paper, the author writes Myanmese. Thats why I keep calling myself I am a burmese.
Being an optimist, Singapore can be considered as highly developed country, cleaness, less crime.
Damn Small country, easy to manage.
Sometime I make a ratio of working stress, income ,social relation in Singapore and Myanmar. Amazingly the value is the same.
So what are we going to do?
I've never thought staying in Singapore for life time.
One day we must go back.
We love our country.

Here also got something can change ur mind. Let's say about their working styles and procedures. And their technologies and Admin portions. I think, we need to give something if we want better knowledges and experiences. We also can learn their good working styles. Living Myanmar is good but poor improvement. SO we need to go aboard and make sure to get some experiences. Now we know about Singapore. I think we should learn Management from them. Our Myanmar is good but no rules and regulation in Companies. One day we can do something with our experiences for Myanmar. I think ur words will be frightened someone desire to go abroad. We need to encourage and advise somethings to prepare. U r right from ur point of view upon Singapore. Anyway, why not we can write somethings helpful to everyone who planning to come here. Thanks!!
Best Regards,
Kyaw Naing Oo.

Hi kyaw gyi, Thanks for your post. I am not scaring our friends to come to here. I just give them some information and tell them my feeling on SG. You give them information too. But our informations come from different point of view. I hope both of our information will help them in anyway.

Thanks again.

Instead of staying silent,lets argue.

I totally disagree your words sacrifice. We are not worth to say sacrifice as we haven't contribute anything to our country.
There are a lot of people who sacrifice their lives for their own country.
We are just nobody compare to them.
So you'd better change your words to "be prepared to invest our knowledge".
In fact we are rather coward..
